The Taverham Neighbourhood Plan is a community-led document for guiding the future development of land in the parish until 2039. It is about the use and development of land.
The Taverham Neighbourhood Plan was independently examined during Spring 2020. The Examiner’s report was published in 16th April 2020 and can be found below. The Taverham Neighbourhood Plan was amended accordingly and has been issued ready for Referendum.
Due to COVID-19 the Referendum is not expected to take place until May 2021. In the meantime, however, the Government has also stated that where a local planning authority has made a decision detailing its intention to send a Neighbourhood Plan to referendum (as in this case), that Plan can be given significant weight in decision-making, so far as the plan is material to the planning application being considered.
